Game 8th August against Belfast Gold

A very well played game Gentlemen, again without any substitutes.

Belfast are a very good side and you posted an excellent score regardless.

Brayden was a stand out for me, his work rate was up there with Wade who again gave us a solid consistent game. The statistics were not very kind to both of them considering the work I saw them both put in.

Kurtis had another great game with the top tackle and assist count with Thomas scoring 3 of the 8 tries. Tommy great talking and one of your best games yet as halfback.

Angus played an excellent 'Captain's knock' with solid performances both at 1st 5/8 and also carrying the ball into tackles then emertging out the other side still with ball in hand.

Fagan (injured 4 times) saved at least 4 tries with his excellent tackling also scoring a fantastic 'side-stepping' try.

I asked Angus, Thomas, Fagan & Kurtis to talk throughout the match and for the first time all 4 of you did a lot of it and it was well thought, supportive talking.

Luke, your tackling started out soft themn after a couple of attempts you starting showing the opposition who was boss ... well done mate ... the 2 tries were rather excellent too!

Alex, the smallest guy on the field watched several of our players attempt to tackle the biggest guy in Belfast then went and shiowed them how to do it! Great runs and as couple of very solid tackles.

Jacob, very impressed to see you play through some very sore injuries and beat my target of tackles and assists today.

Brad ... like Fagan you made several try saving tackles, some great running and backing up of your team mates. You were another one that played through some tough injuries.

We breed them tough in New Brighton!!!

Great team playing again today.Your Coaches are very proud of every one of you.

We all send our best wishes to Zack who we hope is improving with hios health. Oliver we trust you are feeling better too.

Regards Darryl
