Welcome to New Brighton's Under 8 Yellow Rugby Team.

2007
Our current team was hatched in 2007 as the New Brighton Under 6 Yellow team. This was the year that we played 'Touch' Rugby.

We still have Wade Zervos, Angus Templeton, Fagan Gray & Thomas Taurima.

2008
Last year as the under 7's we had Alex Thompson, Brad Grooby, Kurtis Jolly, Luke Hagenaar & Oliver Kidd join us. This year we moved up to 'Rippa' Rugby.

2009
Bringing the team up to current we have had Brayden Powell, Jacob Pierce & Zack Van Eekelen join.

This is the year that has seen us progress to 'tackle' rugby and with this brings a number of risks with injury. The coaching staff is very wary of the dangers and we require all of the team take the coaching very seriously. Correct tackling techniques must be practiced at all times.

Your coaching staff of Dean, Evan & Darryl are with the team because they love the game, they enjoy coaching our players and it gets them out with their own sons. We expect the same respect from our players as they would give to any of their school teachers.
